Connecting Conversations
Happy New Year!
That’s a wrap for 2025, which makes a great starting point for discussion this week (and go deeper with the date further down if interested)
This weekend, try asking your significant other:
What was your favorite date of ours this year?
If you could cancel one purchase you made in 2025 and keep the $$, what would it be?
Was there anything you were afraid of happening in 2025 that didn’t actually happen?
The Year We Want: 90 Minutes for Clarity & Connection
If last year felt like you were mostly reacting to kids, work, and logistics… The Year We Want is a guided 90‑minute date night get on the same page about what you want your lives to feel like this year.
In one cozy date at home you’ll remember your favorite moments, discover what you both want more and less of, and turn all that into a few simple steps to start the new year feeling excited and on the same team.
Together, you’ll complete the simple printable workbook and four short videos from me in about 90 minutes (or longer if you prefer).
Since there are roughly 5,800 waking hours in a year; spending 90 minutes to point those hours in a direction you chose together is a pretty good idea.
Investment: $27 (one-time, per couple)
Text Idea: Long Lost Appreciation
Here’s a text idea I think will really score some points, it does require a little thinking on your end though (c’mon I can’t do allll the work heehee).
Using your photos, calendar or just memory, think about something (ideally small) your significant other did last year that you appreciated or really touched you. Try to go back to the first half of the year if you can. Once you’ve found it, text them this:
“Happy New Year!! I was reflecting a little on 2025 and I remembered [specific thing they did] from last year. It’s still on my mind because [explain why you appreciated / liked it]. I am soooo lucky to have a [wife/husband] like you. Love you 😘”

Had a visit from some elk yesterday, didn’t have time to grab my camera so apologies for the distant iphone shot but these were some big boys!
