Time traveling date, connection questions & 'amazing' text idea

Connecting Conversations

Sometimes a great question is all you need to start a meaningful conversation :)

This weekend, try asking your significant other:

  • When do you feel like we’re at our absolute best as a couple?

  • What what was the worst advice you ever followed?

  • How have our date nights been lately? Would you change anything about them?

Date Night Idea

What would your past selves think of each other? Let’s try a little time travel :)

For this easy & flirty quick date night spend some time thinking about who you were 5, 10, 15+ years ago (or any ages before you met).

Recall how you dressed, what was important to you at the time and how you saw yourself. Also any big challenges you were currently facing.

Role-play each age together answering the following questions:

  1. What album are you listening to most right now?

  2. What personality trait do you admire most about yourself?

  3. What are you excited most about in the next 5 years?

  4. What is the #1 thing you are looking for in a partner? (remember answer from the age you are currently pretending to be)

  5. What’s your favorite way to unwind?

Thoughtful Text Idea

Who doesn’t want to feel amazing?? You can help your partner smile today and feel that way with the following text prompt below.

Note, the KEY to making this land is really thinking about a specific situation / action / story from the past week or so that paints the picture - doesn’t have to be epic, just real. It’s there if you just think on it :). Adjust as needed to fit your voice:

Loving reminder that you are an amazing [father/husband/wife/mother]. I can’t believe you [specific situation in past 7 days], I am a lucky [man/woman]. Love you!

example:

Loving reminder that you are an AMAZING wife. Not only did you get the kids off to school without me yesterday because I got called in, but you finished organizing the kitchen like you said you wanted and left me that sweet note on the bathroom mirror. I am a lucky man woohoo! I love you
