This Tiny Kiss Has Big Benefits
The Spark (by Hunter at Show Her Off Dance).
This kiss of longer life
“A German study from the 1980s by psychologist Arthur Szabo found kissing your partner in the morning before heading off to work is linked with some amazing life improvements: The participants who kissed their partners were said to have lived a median of five years longer than those who didn't, hold jobs paying between 20 and 35% more, lessened their chance of illness by up to 50%, and be involved in "significantly fewer" car accidents.”
Maybe give this ‘experiment’ a try for yourself and see how it goes :)
Your Personal Spark: Age is just number
One of my favorite books I read in the last 5 years was The Expectation Effect.
In summary: our expectations shape our mental and even physical responses to our circumstances.
Which means if I just focus on improving & protecting my expectations I can massively transform my life. Easy to say, but takes discipline to do.
For example, you can become a ‘Super Ager’, from page 235:
“The idea that you’re ‘as young as you feel’ is somewhat of a cliche, but studies examining thousands of participants have shown that people with lower subjective age tend to enjoy great physical and mental health.
How could this be?
One possible answer is that the lower subjective age leads you to think that you are the exception to the normal decline that you expect in other people.
This belief allows you to retain more positive expectations of your health as the years go by, shielding you from the damaging effects of the negative stereotypes that are normally so influential.”
If you’re a reader I’d highly suggest adding this book to your list.
