Text This to Your Partner—And Watch What Happens
The Spark (by Hunter at Show Her Off Dance).
Thoughtful Text Idea
Time for a surprise!
In the morning, text your partner:
“I have a surprise for you later. Any guesses?”
What is the surprise?
Well, that’s for you to figure out before they get home!
Nothing like a little pressure, and you can tease them because you don’t know what it is yet.
Take 5-10 minutes and just think about something small you can pickup or make for your partner before you see them again.
Ok ok I’ll help (heehee) here are some ideas:
Grab their favorite snack or treat when you’re running errands
Pick up flowers for her
Take her car, wash it, clean it, fill up the gas
Schedule a door dash and/or cook their favorite meal for dinner
Grab or make their favorite cocktail for evening
Buy them a puppy or kitten! Lol jk - don’t do that. Just making sure you’re reading this
Knock out one of their chores / to-do’s for them
Grab a card from the grocery store, write something thoughtful in it and also include a ‘coupon’ for something you think they’ll appreciate (date night, trip, show tickets, etc)
9 Phrases to Strengthen Your Relationship
Came across a good article this week I think you might find useful.
Obviously you are not a parrot so just uttering these phrases as if they’re a magic spell won’t do much.
But if you decide to make a mental note (or better yet, copy and paste them to a note in your phone) and try using one a week you may see some encouraging results :)
Bonus idea: print out the article and discuss together over coffee
Connecting Conversations
“Good conversation is as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.”
— Anne Morrow Lindbergh
This weekend, try asking your significant other:
What’s a hard life lesson you’re grateful for learning?
If you could relive one year of our life together, which would it be?
What character from a move or TV show is most similar to you?
