Recreate your first date... at home

PLUS: Conversation starters for deeper connection

The Spark (by Hunter at Show Her Off Dance).

“Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.”

~  Oprah Winfrey

Connecting Conversations

Sometimes a great question is all you need to start a meaningful conversation :)

This weekend, try asking your significant other:

  • What was the last thing you felt nervous about?

  • What is something about me that you were originally unsure of, but now love?

  • What is one difference between us that you like?

Date Night

There’s nothing quite like meeting someone who makes your stomach flip.

Or realizing your best friend is actually the one you want to be with.

This week, why not go back to that time and feel that excitement all over again 🎆

Recreate your first date... at home

  • Was it dinner and a movie?

  • A casual cup of coffee?

  • What did you talk about?

  • What did you want to know about the other person?

  • What did you wear?

Now recreate that at home.

Whether it’s cooking the same meal, making the same drinks or watching the same movie, how can you evoke the same excitement as your first date?

Take the time to reminisce about the past and celebrate how far you’ve come together!

I’d love to hear what y’all did on your first dates - reply to this email and let me know! 💞

The Love Lab

For many, cuddling with your partner feels good and creates intimacy.

Touching and being in close proximity with each other can help couples feel emotionally closer.

It also promotes comfort and security.

According to The Better Sleep Council, cuddling also:

  • Reduces tension, worry and anxiety

  • Releases oxytocin (which helps reduce blood pressure and cortisol levels)

  • Releases endorphins, which are natural painkillers

  • Increases relaxation and calmness

  • Can lift your mood

Which all leads to a better sleep!

If you find cuddling awkward or unnatural, the kind folks at healthline have created a guide to cuddling to help you out.

Happy cuddling!
