Connecting Conversations
Sometimes a great question is all you need to start a meaningful conversation :)
This weekend, try asking your significant other:
Do you miss anything we used to do?
What do you like about the neighborhood you grew up in?
When has someone’s very different perspective enriched your point of view?
Thoughtful Idea: Love Note… by Voice
Investment: 5 minutes
Record a 60–90s voice note for your significant other and include 1 compliment, 1 memory, 1 “looking forward to.”
Send it at some point in the next week when you two aren’t together.
Bonus: Title it “Play when you need a smile.”
Framework: Gold & Silver Dates
I’ve been working 1-on-1 with couples helping plan their dates and wanted to share a framework they are really liking.
I call them ‘Gold & Silver Dates’.
Gold Dates are:
Planned (meaning put on the calendar)
Out of the house
No children
Silver Dates are:
Planned (meaning put on the calendar)
At home, relationship enriching activities (hint hint Date Nights Dancing)
No children
Right now I’m working with busy couples with children so a realistic target is 1 Gold Date a month and 1-2 Silver Dates a month. But as you two talk together and possibly try this framework out, maybe you’ll find more or less Gold + Silver Dates fit you better.
The point is we have a clear definition of what they are and an easy way to look back (at the calendar) and see if they happened.
This helps eliminate the vague ‘are we going on enough dates’ question because we are defining terms and setting realistic targets.
And it becomes a self correcting process because you can talk through how many Silver + Gold Dates feel good from a nourishment standpoint, achievement standpoint AND you can adjust the definitions of the dates themselves because it’s your relationship.
Talk it over together and see what you think, maybe you two can plan out the next 90 days together (date idea).
If you’d like help, you can hire me to remove effort and save you time by planning your dates for you (within your budget & preferences).
I only have time this month to work with 5 couples max, so reply to this e-mail and I’ll let you know the next steps.

Checked out Old Man Storr in Scotland this past week. What a cool country! Highly recommend
