Get a Bookworm Buzz Together

An easy & thoughtful text to send your partner today :)

Connecting Conversations

Sometimes a great question is all you need to start a meaningful conversation :)

This weekend, try asking your significant other:

  • What book had the greatest impact on your life?

  • What’s the best decision we ever made (so far)?

  • What’s your favorite way to receive affection?

Date Night Idea

Time to relax and get your brain chemicals buzzing together 🤓

First, decide how much time you have for your date - say 60 minutes.

Then each of you grab some tea, your favorite (or a new) book and read sitting on the couch together for ½ the date time (ie 30 minutes) - set a timer :)

Once the time is up set a timer for half the remaining time (ie 15 minutes) and share with your partner what you learned and/or what you enjoyed from what you just read. Then switch and let your partner share.

(No picture books lol)

Simple & easy way to find totally new things to talk about and learn just a little more about each other :)

You can also take it further by trying a habit of reading to your partner while in bed, details here.

PS - If the idea of reading together sounds ‘meh’, consider this:

Among couples who took the time to read together, the results were even more uplifting. Ninety-eight percent were satisfied with their relationship, and 62% were even “very satisfied.”

Thoughtful Text Idea

A simple text can make your partner’s day (and make you feel good!). But what’s easy to do is easy NOT to do. Hopefully this makes it easier, modify to fit your voice as needed :)

Idea to send to her:

You’re the most beautiful person I know. Thank you for [something specific she did in the past 7 days that made you feel cared for or appreciated]. I love you.

Idea to send to him

  1. You are my safe place. Thank you for [something specific he did in past 7 days that made you feel safe or appreciated]. I love you.

Whenever you’re ready, there are 3 ways I can help you:

  1. Take on Date Night Dancing 2 & 3 - If you’ve finished Date Night 1 and are ready to add more moves to your dance list checkout Date Night 2 and Date Night 3 for more fun and laughter together right at home.

  2. Sign up for early access to Pocket Date Nights - Brand new Date Night program launching shortly that will have you two laughing, loving and communicating better. No dancing in this program but plenty of fun. Spots are limited.
