Cultivating romance with herbs

PLUS: Conversation starters for deeper connection

Connecting Conversations

Sometimes a great question is all you need to start a meaningful conversation :)

This weekend, try asking your significant other:

  • What was the last thing you felt nervous about?

  • What is something about me that you were originally unsure of, but now love?

  • What is one difference between us that you like?

Date Night Idea

Spring is underway and many have made a good start planting their gardens 🪴

Do you have a green thumb?

Or are you more of a just-keep-the-houseplants-alive type?

This week, why not add some romance to the spring spirit.

Ancient Athenian brides made mint and marigold garlands.

In Italy, it’s said that women would place a sprig of basil on their balcony to tell their lover to call that evening.

Cultivating Romance in a Herb Garden

Whether you have a yard or space for a few pots on your windowsill, fresh herbs add color, aroma and brightness to any space.

Herbs also symbolize love, devotion and growth, all so important to cultivate in relationships.

How to get started:

  1. Choose your herbs: try easy-to-grow lavender, mint, basil, patchouli, thyme, dill and sage

    1. For those with outdoor space, you can also add borage, which will attract pretty pollinators like butterflies and bees

  2. Buy pots, soil and seeds

  3. Plant your seeds together!

Budget: $20

Now get your hands in the dirt and plant some herbs together

The ‘Infinity Loop’ of Life?

I consider myself an explorer, a forever student. Love love love learning. I've read just shy of 700 books, invested a ton in coaching and will continue to do so because I need all the help I can get lol (and kinda nerdy 🤓).

In fact being on this explorer path is what brought me to you - learning how to dance and then simplifying it down so that anyone who wanted to give it a try could learn without having to spend the 100s of hours I spent.

To that end I'm going to explore sharing some other ideas with you, starting with what I feel is the 'infinity loop' of of personal growth - effective use of time. Time is the great equalizer, we all get 24 hours every day. It's how we intentionally (or unintentionally) invest that time that starts to separate people who get what they want out of their life vs those who do not.

So a simple 'infinity loop' challenge for you this week is to spend 30 minutes each day focused on an activity, passion or area of your life you've wanted to improve in (or learn more about).

Could be health, making more money, communicating better, exploring a hobby - the activity doesn't matter.

What matters is can we do something consistently day in day out for just 30 minutes? Chisel our way in.

You can read a book on the topic, watch youtube videos, listen to a podcast or spend the 30 minutes doing the activity itself (ie going on a walk or meditating or praying etc).

Let me know how it goes!

Whenever you’re ready, there are 3 ways I can help you:
