Connecting Conversations

Sometimes a great question is all you need to start a meaningful conversation :)

This weekend, try asking your significant other:

  • What’s something about our relationship that makes you smile?

  • What’s your best memory of a grandparent?

  • What is the most romantic thing I’ve done for you?

A Little Bouquet, A Lot Of Thanks

Fellas: Make a note to pickup flowers later this week.

The day before or morning of Thanksgiving, give her the flowers (nothing fancy needed) and a short note.

Hand them to her when she’s not expecting it ie: before guests arrive, before the kitchen chaos, before the to-do list takes over.

Here are a few simple ideas you can choose from to write on the card (or say out loud):

• “I know this week is a lot. Thank you for everything you do for us. I love you.”
• “For the woman who makes every holiday feel like home. Thank you and I love you.”
• “These aren’t from the store… they’re from your biggest fan. I love you.”

Small gesture, big signal: you matter more to me than the meal.

Mini-Date Idea: Turkey Timeout Walk 🦃

Thanksgiving is coming, calendars are filling and you might start feeling a liiiittle bit of that holiday stress around the corner.

This mini date is a tiny reset before it gets crazy.

How it works:

  • After dinner one night, take a 20–30 minute walk together (around the block is fine)

  • Each person shares:

    • 1 thing they’re grateful for from this year

    • 1 thing they’re dreading about the holidays

    • 1 thing that would make next week feel easier

  • On the walk back, agree on one small “stress saver” you’ll do for each other this week.

  • Optional: Sit together on the couch afterwards and just listen to music, hold hands. No phones, no TV, just you two enjoying 15-30 minutes of calm before the chaos ensues.

Keep the sparks flying,
